LYFE JENNINGS is a platinum-selling R&B and soul singer-songwriter, record producer and instrumentalist. The Toledo-born singer began performing in a church choir, and as a teenager as a member of The Dotsons, a group formed with his brother and two cousins. Two days after his release from prison, where he developed his sound, Jennings recorded his first demo CD. One month later, accompanied by an acoustic guitar, he performed at the Apollo Theatre for the first time, where he was awarded five consecutive amateur night victories. The New York Times has referred to Jennings as “a socially minded R&B singer” with “shades of Donny Hathaway and Al Green.” He released his platinum-selling debut album, “Lyfe 268-192” in 2004, followed by “The Phoenix” in 2006, “Lyfe Change” in 2008, I “Still Believe” in 2010, “Lucid” in 2013, and “Tree of Lyfe” in 2015.
